Creative thinking enables them to explore different fields so that they can gain experiences and find out the potential possibilities. The force of creative thinking should be applied to the general public and most importantly, in the education system. Students should be put in an education system where they are free of exploring new skills and knowledge rather than the one with a designed outline. Through the hand of creative thinking, students can focus on their potential talents and create their own products. Since they can dig out their potential talents and transfer it to the reality completely, they will gain the sense of…

Shy students: Some children may suffer with confidence issues which may affect their individual work and contribution to the class as they are worried they may get answers wrong and getting told off. To combat this you must build a good rapport and relationship with your students and let them know its ok to be wrong. In my setting we had posters around the classroom made by the children with classroom rules and behaviours, one of them being: ‘Its safe to make mistakes’. Build up trust with particularly shy students and encourage them to come out of their shell and give praise when they try.…

Dialogic teaching is vital in the classroom. Teachers should embrace talk to support children’s development in cognitive, social and emotional terms; however, there are barriers to its educational benefits. Not all children in classrooms can access talk; therefore, they will have a different foundation to learn. We as teachers should strive to ensure talk is genuinely…

Observations: Students were allowed to wear a hat to class if they had paid a dollar. Usually this is not allowed in class. They seemed pretty excited over allowed to wear a hat in the classroom. When the students finally settled in to the classroom, Mrs. Geisheimer gave the students a Do Now. The way she described the assignment was confusing because she told the students to do the right side of the page, but when showing the class the paper, she was pointing to the left side of the page.…

There are many different types of controversial arguments that people do not agree with. There is an argument that I would like to get to the bottom too. The problem is that there are schools that do not allow hats at school because they are so called “gang related.” I do not understand what makes hats supposedly gang related. Wearing a baseball hat or even a school hat is not allowed.…

A recommendation I have is to allow more “think time.” Giving the students a journal where they can jot down any questions or ideas they have about a certain topic will help them process information better. The students will later discuss with a group. This is giving each student a chance to talk and interact with other students, while the teacher is the observer. At the end, all the groups will share and the teacher leads a class discussion.…

Is the Hat/Hood Policy Too Harsh? How many times have you walked into a school wearing a hat and had a staff member ask you to take it off? Maybe you thought it suited your outfit, or maybe you were using it to cover up your messy hair that day. Have you ever wondered why you aren’t ever allowed to wear hats or hoods in school? I think that the hat and hood policy in schools should be changed to be less restrictive.…

The decision of uniforms being implemented in school systems is based off the state or the individual schools policy. The school either can make uniforms mandatory or voluntary. Schools have policies that involve student expectations of acceptable appearance, such as going to school in a properly dressed manner.…

During Van Gogh's last years in his life, he painted The Church at Auvers in 1890. Around that time, Vincent suffered from mental illness and some emotional difficulties. Just like his title, Van Gogh's subject is the Church at Auvers. Not only is the church the focal point of the painting, but a woman on the far bottom left walking towards the church looks as if she is somewhat important too. The Church of Auvers painting does not only represent a church and a safe haven to reside, but also captures Van Gogh interpretation of how much he is suffering.…
