The workplace conditions and safety climate related-programmes, especially in emerging industrial countries, are remained poorly neglected (Bosak, Coetsee, & Cullinane, 2013). For instance, Indonesia as an emerging country has three major issues regarding psychological safety, labour market security and quality of the working environment issues such as poorly paid salary and wages, long working hours, accidents, etc. (OECD, 2014). Three databases in figure; Science Direct, EBSCO and Web of Science, show that the number of publications on those databases increase every year. Surprisingly, Science Direct has the highest number of publications (Total=142 and year 2015=14). However, it shows that only limited studies are addressed in the reputable quality journals (15 journals) and an opportunity for future study is widely open (Nembhard and Edmondson, 2006). Thus, it can be argued that the link between psychological safety and creativity has been limited in the previous studies.

Moreover, Figure 2 presents the number of studies for each variable in the 33 key study contributors. Over two decades, creativity and team psychological safety are the most popular variable which is used in psychological safety and creativity research, 45.45% and 36.36% for each variable respectively. However, the link between psychological safety dimensions creativity is very limited. Thus, there is an opportunity to examine those relationships in the future
