Mrs. Bunker had the student create a play out of the information they learned from the textbook. This allowed the student to get creative and teach the other students about what they learned. The student were having a lot of fun …show more content…
Mrs. Nagel used her own experience to relate to the child in a positive way. Her family owned a bakery when she was younger so she positively related to the student and encouraged all of the students to try Indian food at the student restaurant. “…an external power can force a change in self-perception” (Delpit, 2002, p. 194). This quote because it points out how powerful our words and reactions are to other people. As a teacher we must be careful with what we say to students and make sure that we check the biases we may have at the door because what we say or do can force a good or bad change in our students’
