Importance Of Charlotte

Services essential to the success of Charlotte include all of those that cover the basic needs of citizens. No amount of government assistance can establish and grow a city. Citizens need markets, clothing, utilities, among many others. The city must have attractors to entrepreneurs and businesses. Most of those factors are naturally occurring including location, climate, and natural resources. Once established via whatever means, to maintain that city businesses must be free to provide the services that it’s citizens desire. Reliable electricity, affordable food, entertainment, and many others. For Charlotte in particular, the commerce aspect is the most important to its success. Charlotte would be nowhere without being an intersection of commerce. Starting out as an intersection of Indian trading routes, then an intersection of railroads, and now the location of a major airline hub. Charlotte is unique in the way it exists as a compromise between large city and small town life. It doesn’t serve as a culture shock to city dwellers and its not overwhelming for the small town children like myself. As Goldfield pointed out, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport makes it easy for family to travel home to see relatives. With the airport also serving as a hub, it means that it offers reasonable fares to most locations around the US. Charlotte is close location wise to “everything”. Many rebound universities are less than two hours away, the mountains are less than two hours, the beach less than four hours, and surrounded by interstates that lead in all directions.
