This purpose of government met the common good by having a lot of helpful things in Rome to help Roman people live, like a postal service and roads. Another helpful thing that really help the common good was that there was grooves in the road that could fit the wagon tires. I help all of the farmers carry all of their materials around rome. They did good with protecting rights but it didn’t fully protect the . Over time It got better and better. To protect the plebeians they had madastates that would fight for the plebeians. The madastates would fight for the plebians but they wouldn’t always make the best decisions because they were not fully trained officers. Slaves were treated basically like a kid today. They could gain money for working. Then they could buy your freedom. If you owned a slave you could not treat them poorly, but it never said you had to treat just like you. When you became a freed slave you could buy your own slaves to work for you.
