Even though America has had many faulty shootings that have occurred, the right to bear arms should be protected. There are some citizens that feel as the American government should just completely ban guns due to the fact of school shooting, high murders rates or even shootings in public places. But what these citizens forget is not every person that owns a gun goes out there commit crimes. The right to bear arms should be protected for one reason it gives people added protection. Someone using the right to bear arms could potentially save someone 's or dozens of people lives. Also taking this right from citizens will only cause more problems and does not guarantee the crime rate will go done. People do not like the idea of being told what …show more content…
The people that are against the right to bear arms will say things like that is what the police is for ‘’but in fact, concealed carry permit holders have better safety records than police officers, and more criminals are killed by citizens defending themselves than are killed by law enforcement.” Majority of people keep guns in the home to protect their selves and family from robbers, home invasion. Women are always seen as an easy target to criminals. For example many women do get rape or kidnapped imagine how much of these things could be prevented if they were using their right to bear arms. Men also can be targeted by criminals too. Most of time when men are target it 's by a group of people and sometimes they are shoot and beaten. If any men were using the right to bear arms these criminals would have ran off. Many get a peace of mind knowing that if they are somewhere or even home alone they can protect their selves because law enforcement do not always get there quickly. How about when clerks at convince are robbed and are able to protect themselves. Sometime these clerks are murder so they cannot identify the criminals. The people against guns should also know take into consideration that the people that do these tragic shootings are not usually permitted to carry a gun and bought them off the streets in secret markets. Citizens should always have the right to …show more content…
The crime rate would most likely go up. Citizens that uses their right to bear arms would become highly upset that the right is taken from them. This right being taken could cause riots to start and make everyone go into chaos. Which would put citizens and law enforcement in danger. When people feel like someone has taken something from them they don 't think straight they start act careless and can even start do criminal activity. If the right to bear arms was taken away it would make people like they no longer have any rights at all and it would make citizens feel like it is a dictatorship. Which is one thing that Americans hate is being told what to do. Also if guns become banned this will not stop criminals or reduce the crime rate. The criminals would just want to get the hands on the guns even more so they can sell it at a high rate for profit. Criminals did the same thing when probation started. The government would just help these criminals get more money and have many of their good citizens dislike them. This ban of guns will also help criminals get away with more crimes because now the no one can have guns the government does not know who the gun belongs to when a crime is committed because they could not monitor who has one. “The official report on the worst mass shooting in America history concluded that a limit on magazine capacity

Why should the government take away people 's guns rights when they use them for self-defense LaPierre and others argue, “that not only gun-carrying individuals ward off attackers, but criminals are deterred because they do not know who does or does not carry a concealed weapon.”(Mantel 9). If criminals are scared that good people are carrying guns also, they will be less likely to commit a crime. If criminals do try and shoot others, there will be good people there to protect themselves with their guns. The streets will be safer and allow society to become better however others believe otherwise. Allowing people to carry guns on the street will increase the crime rate many believe.…

In the past few decades, firearms have had a big impact on society. These impacts have been both good and evil, and have caused controversy on the topic of gun ownership. Some groups, such as the Brady Campaign, would like to see gun control laws take away some rights and restrict others, whereas the National Rifle Association would like to protect gun rights and educate society on the use of firearms. Both sides want to stop the problem of gun violence, but protecting gun rights is the only way to truly insure public safety. Gun control will not be able to stop the use of guns, and it will put citizens in an unfair situation where they cannot protect themselves.…

Activist in favor of gun control believe that with gun control being enacted that the United States would not only be better off but safer as well. The other party who disbelieve in the need for gun control believe that with it the country will only grow more corrupt considering the facts that the states that have had gun constraints have grown more violent prove their point. Gun control would keep guns out of the United States for a short period after it would be enacted, but as soon as they are smuggled into the United States all of the citizens who had previously given up their arms now have no guns to defend themselves against robbers, muggers, or whoever it might be that threatens their lives. In order to keep guns better under control without taking away guns from citizens is by enforcing security in places like schools and for the government to keep track of who is mentally unstable and to make sure that there is no chance what so ever for them to get in reach of a…

The number one reason of getting a person engaging in crime is due to lack of financial resources. Due to this, the criminals will involve themselves in several ways so that they get the needed money. However, if the authorities involve them in activities that generate resources, it will be a very good move in ensuring that they stop their criminal activities. Studies have revealed that poor living conditions or lack of money pressures one to engage in crime (Rachel 98). But restricting guns in hands of law-abiding does not reduce gun violence; instead it increases the likelihood of gun violence by leaving potential victims easy prey for predators like Holmes.” John R. Lott Jr. says, “Gun-free zones are a magnet for those who want to kill many people quickly. Even the most ardent gun control advocate would never put “Gun Free Zone” signs on their homes. Let’s stop finally putting them elsewhere.” If so many places are supposed to feel safe, why is it that vicious killers are now targeting these places? The answer is only a logical explanation, because people are not able to protect themselves. The gun laws only make it exceedingly manageable to cause so much…

The fear of all the armed forces will decrease murders and crime, at the same time, some criminals may give up crime for good. Hopefully we will not have to supply the forces with anything but non-lethal pepper balls instead of lethal-grade weapons or ammunition. As I see it, we will have to soon, because criminals are committing more and more crimes everyday. If the government does not act quickly, we will be overrun with crime and murder. Soon, criminals will work for terrorists if gun control is allowed to exist any longer.…
