MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is the latest buzzword in the therapy world. Despite this it has been around for a long time in other forms and has many benefits.

Being the onlooker to what is going on in your mind can be very informative. So awareness can be helpful to notice the content and form your thoughts take.

RELAX

How many of us really relax? Yet relaxation is vitally important to our health and well-being.

Sometimes it can be too easy to say, “There isn’t time” or “I feel guilty when I sit down”. Maybe you look upon relaxation as doing nothing or boring.

Talking to clients, a lot of people admit that relaxing is either not a priority or something that does not happen due to various reasons. In fact over the years I have found that people say they don’t give enough time to themselves. It is so easy to overlook yourself in favour of those other things you tell yourself you need to do.

You owe it to yourself to relax. So every now and then stop what you’re doing and take time out for you.

Every now and then it’s good to come off the motorway of life and draw into a lay-by.
