Giving the American people the straight, unabridged information, empowers them to choose how they feel about that information. Empowers people to create their own thoughts, to be creative. This creativity is one of the central attributes about people that make them Human. (Proof: quote / abridgement of quote from anthropology books (one of the first chapters)). The media has taken away this central human characteristic, and by reining in the media the people can regain this characteristic.
Ironically, I as the writer am doing what the media is, using information to influence the reader. However, it is not my goal nor my intention to mislead or misinform the reader. What I am trying to show here is that the media’s influence on the opinions of people is far too great, and should be stopped. That can only be done if people decide that they want information, and not influence. By having a nation of informed, rather than opinionated, people, the power of the country will return into the hands of the people. People who are creative and intelligent people. People who actually know who is best for the country. People who all are seeking power without realizing that they are the most powerful institution in the country. People who do not realize how hard the government has to work to influence them. People who do not realize the extraordinary effort the media has to use to hide their lies and deceit to the intelligent American people. We as American people are the power, and we as people need to use that power to accomplish our own goals, rather than letting someone else use that power for
