What did the janitor say when he jumped out of the closet? Supplies! Being a janitor is back breaking work. Trust me, I am one at River Heights Elementary School. I use urine remover on a daily basis. I also sweep up hairs from the teacher bathroom floor. Although my job is difficult and somewhat gruesome, there’s one magnificent part. I get a master key to the entire school. It opens everything! All of us have keys to something. I bet you could pull them out of your pockets or purses right now. (and, if your key happens to be to a Lamborghini, I would completely love to take it off of your hands) What we don’t all have is the key to success. Each and every single person in this room has different and unique things about them. Whether it be their voice, their hair, their eye color, imperfections, piercings, or attributes such as those, they are all unique. Just like our physical appearances, our opinions on success will be unique too. Maybe some of us will stick to the standard Oxford dictionary definition of success which is " the accomplishment of a aim or purpose". I hope that after you 've heard everything I had to say however, that your definition of success is intricate and personal. Success is what you work for. Success comes to you when you deserve it. Is Success putting your shoes on, is it writing a 500-page book, getting to sleep on time, drinking a whole bottle of water a day, graduating, getting married, becoming president, accomplishing every single goal you put your mind to, abolishing stereotypes and labels, or getting out of bed in the morning? Whatever your idea is, it is yours and only yours. That is so extraordinary. Since this is your own personal key that you 're shaping, it also needs to be your own idea of what success is. No one can make your key for you. Whether success is making someone smile, or being the chairman of a company, you 're accomplishing something either way. Everyone in this room combined doesn 't have enough fingers and toes to count your triumphs. You succeeded in arriving to this room. You 've succeeded in getting yourself dressed. and now, you 've even succeeded in making your own key to success. So now you need to make the decision. Are you going to unlock doors to a house, your dreams, a business, or even a door to the bathroom? Today I am going to challenge each and every one of you to come up with and know for yourself what success is. Be the change in the world. Accomplish all that you want, and unlock every single door that you put
