The Importance Of The Information Society And The Boundless Society

Decent Essays
I might want to say we are living in a different century between the 20th century and the 21th century. We may feel those differences unwittingly. For example, when I was young, I usually hung out with my friends outside because a technology was not developed very well, so I did not know that the technology would be significant in the future. Also, I pondered if I did not have the cell phone, I could live my life conveniently, but now a phenomenon is completely opposite to my past thought. We call our society like an information society and a boundless society. Why did we start to call the information society and the boundless society? Because of the technology, it is more highly advanced than before. Technology has brought us so many advantages, …show more content…

As we know, cell phones can download a lot of applications which are very useful in our life from the internet. If we assume that we do not have a cell phone, we cannot imagine that time. We already know that if we see the screen for a long time, eyesight will be damaged. Nevertheless, many people pass over the cell phone screen affection because they think eyesight is not the permanent eye damage. Therefore, we have to think about specific affection, including the eyesight. Beside of eyesight, a cell phone affects eyes in a different way. When we use a cell phone, we try to see the screen close because a cell phone is usually smaller than all electronic devices, such as tablet and laptop, so it is hard to see the information on far away from the cell phone screen. In the article, Your Phone Could Ruin Your Life, by Kristen Lewis it says, “digital distraction can be harmful, both mentally and physically”(Lewis 9). I think this means that young people are spending too much time on electronics both day and night. I can support this because it says that “80% of teenagers sleep with their phones nearby”(Lewis 7),and also, “your phone screen gives off a kind of light that tells your brain to stay awake”(Lewis 9). Another thing that supports this is that when you sleep with your phone under your pillow the radiation can cause cancer.…

Blaming the use of cellphones for complications such as failing relationships, becoming depressed and the lack of ability to plan is somewhat ridiculous. I agree that the constant use of cellphones affect our actions and the way that we think but the personality of a subject is what causes break ups and depressions. I am not in any way saying that a persons cellphone usage is irrelevant to those complications. The use of cellphones play a part in failing relationships and depressions but the part cellphones play in those complications are very minimal compared to other…

How phones effect your everyday life Rough Draft For many of us, myself included, our cell phone screens are the last thing we check before we go to bed at night and the first thing we look in the morning. I see people texting and driving and almost every day I am behind someone at a red light who is looking down when the light turn greens. When you eat out, it is completely normal to see patron's cell phones at the table by their beverage. Also normal to see them checking their device during the duration of their dining experience. You almost never see children (even toddlers) sitting at the table without a tablet or phone as they play a game or watch a show or movie.…

In conducting my research, I discovered that there is lack of research in proving that cell phones can cause other social disorders besides anxiety. More needs to be known about how cell phones can cause other social disorders, such as depression. The research confirms that cell phones can cause depression, but it doesn’t explain how or why. I believe that they can cause depression in any teenager, including the teenagers that do not own a cell phone. Cell phones can cause depression in the teens who don’t own a cell phone, because they are left out.…

One of its causes is the excessive use of mobile phones in our daily life which causes us to become distracted from our work. Timothy Egan, a national enterprise reporter specifies that those who are most invested in the regular engagement with these devices can lead to reduced attention capacity, producing shorter attention spans and having forgetful tendencies (as cited in Wilmer, Sherman, & Chein, 2017). Diminished attention capacity affects cognition as the person is not focused on their work, hence does not remember the task performed. Furthermore, even the mere presence of a mobile phone may affect cognition and attention when performing a task. Monika Prasad et al., a tutor in Department of Public Health Dentistry,…
