Creation & Earth Museum Observation

The site I chose to visit was the Creation & Earth Museum located in Santee. This wasn’t my first encounter with this particular exhibit, and might I say, each encounter is more captivating than the last. What the Creation & Earth Museum set out to do, is provide a spiritual interpretation on scientific evidence that reinforce biblical accounts of creation. It’s the old tale of science versus religion, which the Creation & Earth Museum displays tastefully. Even if you oppose of their beliefs, like I do, from a visual aspect alone the museum sparks your curiosity. From the moment you exit your vehicle and begin your journey toward the museum’s doors, a massive Tyrannosaurus Rex is waiting to greet you. My first reaction is what do dinosaurs have to do with the bible? According to their plaques of biblical scriptures, in regard to dinosaurs, there is mention of what is referred to as a behemoth in Job 40:15-24, but It doesn’t specify that they are specifically talking about dinosaurs. Nonetheless, they have various displays of dinosaurs throughout their 10,000 sq. ft. facility. Once you enter the birthplace of logical fallacies, i.e. the museum, you are embraced by the magical gift shop, which has tons of books, dinosaur toys, various rocks, and more books. After you pay your seven-dollar entry fee you are free to explore the exhibits. Their exhibits include, but are not limited to, Days of Creation: Heaven & Earth, Day of Creation: Astronomy, Days of Creation: Living Creatures & Garden, Ice Age, Human Anatomy, and my personal favorite Hall of Scholars Creation / Evolution debate since Darwin.
