According to the United States Health and Human Services (n.d.), the mission of public health at the beginning of the 21st century, is to ensure conditions in which people can be healthy. The center strives to keep the people, especially the seniors healthy, providing them with meals, activities, opportunities to interact and keep them in their homes, preventing them from being institutionalized for as long as possible. The mission of the City of Inglewood Senior Center is to provide comprehensive care management services for clients from the “womb to the tomb” using education and advocacy to avoid inappropriate institutionalization (City of Inglewood, n.d.). This goal is incorporated into the fabrics of every program that is implemented and over the years, the target population has been impacted upon with the various programs. I will recommend a fund raising program, such as a dinner or luncheon, to which potential sponsors will be invited, as well as an annual or biannual meeting of the leaders of the city, the potential sponsors or grant bodies, partners and the leaders of the center. These meetings will be executed with proper planning, in which there will be a presentation of the position of the center, the needs of the target population, and the programs executed, the programs to be designed to meet evident needs and the requirement for funds for these programs and the judicious use of the past funds given out. In addition, new funding bodies or grant agencies will be invited to such meetings and the ideas of the center will be sold to them and commitment of funds obtained from them, which will consequently be followed up with laudable programs to meet the needs of the target
