Being A Christian Worldview Essay

A foundational set of assumptions to which one commits that serves as a framework for understanding and interpreting reality and deeply shapes one’s behavior. A belief is trust, faith, acceptance, and confidence in something or someone. It could be someone you hold dear to you or something you might do in belief that you’ll get a certain result. When you combine a worldview and belief pertaining to Jesus Christ, you get the Christian worldview. In order to have a proper understanding of the Christian worldview, you first have to understand a few things. Who is God? What is God like? These are question you must be able to answer. Many people are looking to get saved and accept Christ as their personal Lord and savior. The beauty of being a Christian includes living with a purpose and having a higher being that is watching over you, keeping you safe, and trying to guide and direct you. The troubling part of being a Christian, is that many people have a hard time keeping faith and trusting in God although he can’t be seen. However, believing in him not only grants you favor, it also gives you a sense of purpose and peace in mind. It also gives you a structure to follow while building you up and keeping you on the straight and narrow.
Reflection
As a Christian, I am aware that nobody is perfect. I still must do all that I can to follow the instructions of the Lord and pray to become more like him. I pray to overcome my flaws to be a better child of God. Although it may not be an easy task as our faith is tested repetitively, I can only move forward in his name and understand that these are tests. I believe that God does bless with not only material things, but more so things that money can’t buy. Like love, peace, and prosperity. I live out my beliefs to become closer to the Lord in spirit.
