Unit 9 Assignment Analysis

In regards of my Unit 9 assignment, I had the opportunity to visit Racine’s Workforce Department, Children/Father First program. I made an appointment with a wonderful woman who is the supervisor for the program. As I observed, a typical day of a supervisor who also has a case load, looked as the following: I arrived at 8:00 a.m. and Mrs. Price was already at her desk typing away on her computer. Mrs. Price informed me that she had a busy day and this is why she picked today to have me sit in with her, to taken just what a day in the field of a caseworker is actually like.
Mrs. Price gave me the Children/Father First Program requirements, which I found to be amazing. The program is for noncustodial parents, who were not paying child support due to

The program includes 30 counties and 1 tribe in 2011.
The Children First Program has undergone several evaluations that indicate that child support outcomes improves after program participation” (Children First Program Guide, 2012).
Children First Program Funding is a state general-purpose revenue, which is, used for Maintenance of Effort funds for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program. In addition, the state budget for the Children First Program is founded by the Legislature. Allocations are calculated on the number of non-custodial parent or participants” (Children First Program Guide, 2012). Namely, the client population of the Children/Father First Program is single parents, unemployed, under paid parents or guardians, fathers, mothers, anyone who has to pay child support and cannot.
The job qualifications or requirements for human service workers in Racine, Wisconsin Workforce Department is an associate degree for entry level case worker position, master along with bachelors for positions past case workers specializing in certain
