Furthermore, there has been a change in Catalan nationalism because of the disappointment of Spain and their ignorance of their attempt to be independent. The Catalans are tired of justifying Catalonia’s national status and language, therefore, have abandoned all hope that the rest of Spain will listen and understand their concerns within a multinational Spanish state from a political, cultural and economic perspective(CNN).
