Junior year I walked into the female bathroom like usual, and a transgendered student was in there with his boyfriend. I no longer had the urge to use the bathroom. With the issue at hand I was not mad or upset just disturbed and uncomfortable. I do not wish to use the “female bathroom” if a transgendered male makes it uncomfortable for me. If the bill is not passed school systems will have to accommodate for this issue. The next question is how do you properly accommodate transgendered individuals? This quote means that I should be more open to the transgendered cultural issues even though subconsciously my culture influences my thoughts and decisions.
For me to change my position on the bathroom bill a convenient and efficient solution must be made to address the issue. Some colleges and universities have renovated their bathrooms making them gender-neutral by simply changing the signs (……….). This simple solution is reasonable and I believe quite effective on handling the situation. Locker rooms, though have been renovated or new ones have been built instead. When this inconvenient action occurs I no longer wish to possibly change my decision on this controversial
