Out of all of the special population gangs there are, the group I find the most interesting to read about and research about is the 1% motorcycle gangs. Before this project, I was not very knowledgeable of the 1% motorcycle gangs and their prevalence in the Chattanooga area because even though I’ve lived here my entire life, there is still so much that I do not know about Chattanooga. It is important to know who takes up residence in your hometown and it makes for intriguing research material. I never really expected to find that a major biker gang like The Outlaws Motorcycle Club is the main one in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The three articles I was able to find that were specifically about Chattanooga are all centered around the violence and brutality that biker gangs engage in; each of them report on a specific vicious incident that was caused by a motorcycle gang.
