I like the idea of America being a helpful country but it only links us to every country we help. Meaning, the enemies of the countries we help are now our enemies. That being said, I don’t think we shouldn’t help at all. I think it would be smart to only help countries after a declaration of war has been made and a majority vote by congress allows it. This limits us to only helping during dyer situations. This only applies to military affairs, so America can still help countries after natural disasters. After some research, I learned of the many groups and countries that America sends weapons and aid to. One of these groups happens to be linked to ISIS. We are not directly helping ISIS but in a way, we are. To fix this, we would cut all supply lines to anyone other than American territories and bases. However, after the signing of an official declaration of war and a majority vote from congress we would then be permitted to send aid and weapons and troops to the countries listed within the declaration. All countries on the side we will be joining must be on the declaration or they will not be receiving aid from America. Countries can be added at later dates, but any change to the declaration must be voted on by congress, and if at any time the votes are not a majority, America will pull out of the
