In the United States, many young teenage women are having complications receiving the care that they want. For instance, part of the consent law can require parental decisions but the problem is that not many teenage girls want to have their parents know their privacy. Young girls are less likely to go get care they want if the parents need to know about. Privacy seems to be an issue between a young woman and the parent. At this period, parents need to be directly involved when an abortion is going to be occurred. The consent law can allow young minors to have consent at the age of 12. When it comes to patient to doctor communication, the minor should be able to keep treatment confidential without any parental notice such as consent. With birth control, the female should be able to access it with a doctor at any time without any issue. The main problem is being able get birth control without a doctor’s prescription. For better results, it is best if the woman goes to the doctor to get prescription so that way they know what is best. What if a certain type of birth control does not work to prevent pregnancy? With doctor’s notice, then chances are pregnancy will be slim. To talk about abortion, in many states, it would be hard for the teenager to not have the parents know about the child deciding to have an abortion. As a result, the parents might of never known the adolescent was pregnant, and two, they probably did not know the young girl was sexually active in the first place. The clinical abortion is a procedure being done on a womans reproductive area and it usually costs up to $1,500. “In some states, you can be excused from involving a parent without going to a judge if you are the victim of abuse or neglect and you or your doctor report this to the appropriate authorities.
