In the twenty first century, technology has influenced almost everything we do. From the way we travel to the way we receive our health care, even down to the simplest thing such as communication. According to the article “What Is Technology – Meaning of Technology and Its Use”, technology is known as “a body of knowledge devoted to creating tools, processing actions and extracting of materials.” The use of technology has benefited the world but also caused some loss. Body language is important and the attitude of the persons communicating, contributes towards the conversation. Body language is a key feature in communication representing your emotion towards the situation. This involves hand movements, eye moments and facial expressions. The attitude of another person in the conversation can not only be heard in their voice but can be seen on their faces. The tone of voice plays an important part in communication, hearing whether or not the person may be interested or not. When communicating in person, it is easier to get your point across and being able to see if the person being spoken to understands. Most persons today, get up every morning and check their phones to see if they have received any messages or notifications from social media. They send out good morning texts to love ones and wish them to enjoy their day. Telling a person good morning in person with a hug, is the best way to do it. In fact, according to National Institution Health, “a hug is proven to increase our oxytocin levels in our body”. “The hormone oxytocin is what causes the feeling of happiness. It also lowers the levels of stress hormones in the body, reducing blood pressure, improves mood and increases tolerance for pain.” (“The Power of Love”) This means that hugs are proven to increase happiness.
