Technology makes life easier and provides a sense of false security allowing for easy manipulation, such as the case in political propaganda. Also for the fact that technology and science simply isn 't an important matter. Food, water, and shelter are important. (Glenn, 2008)
This leads me to believe that technology is being treated as a luxury and not a necessity for survival. Making it something for the rich while being a dream for the lower class.
