I want to teach my puppy King to rollover. The target behavior is to get King to rollover. I will try to make King sit and then lay down to my command, use a firm voice, different to my playful voice, and give King a small treat or bit of dog food. Once I have mastered the sit and lay commands, I can then move on to roll ever. I will give King a reward for merely lying on the floor. Then I only give him a reward when he lies on the floor on his belly and then rolls to his side. Then I reward him only when he lies on the floor on his stomach, then rolls to his back( Adams, 2015). For my goal settings, the reward could include gifts, verbal praise or a preferred item. Operant conditioning could help in the strengths such as motivation, the importance of setting goals to graduate in November 2016. Other advantages of operant condition could help me to easily apply what I learn at Kaplan, achievement, and hierarchy of needs while I am at Kaplan University. The weaknesses of operant conditioning in helping me to graduate could have setbacks such as disregards internal motivation difficult to identify rewards and punishment, and also preventing unwanted behavior in achieving goals to learn more about developmental disabilities. Reinforcement for me in establishing my conditioned behavior to stay focus in school. Operant conditioning can be used to shape my desired behavior on graduating from Kaplan University and becoming a Behavior Consultant or Case Manager. Operant conditioning would help in not procrastinate in completing assignments or wait to the last minute do finish assignments. Reinforcement effects depend on a number of variables.
