Probably some of the most pleasing and enjoying things to children or people in general has to do with sweets. In the life of a child one will likely to get a birthday at a certain point and with a parent’s idea, they will like to get their children cake because cake represents a special event. Going out with parent as a child could represent a time whereby one get to eat sweets like ice-cream which contain sugar. During Thanksgiving or Hallowing it turns in to a night where children do go around and beg for candy from people and during a week it will be finish within few weeks and it is enough sugar consuming. Many parent want to see their children well-functioning and well monitored in school. Parent will like to see that their children isn’t struggles or even having a burden in their mind so, parent often turn to give their children sweet or even going to get ice-cream when they show a little bit of self-stress to motivate the child to do good in school.it seem to be a good idea that parent needs to give their children this kind of sweet to motivated them right? But if parent where to find out that all what they have been doing is really causing harm to their children and will rather reverse they the children’s performance. Jane Goldman, a professor at the University of Connecticut studied preschoolers and did an experiment in which she gave a piece of candy without sugar in it to the other students and another one with sugar in it to another student .The student who took in the candy without sugar the sugar made a good performance than those who took the candy with sugar in it.(calvo,2)with the student who did not consumed the candy with sugar they had good performance and behaved like regular student who should paying more attention and the student who did consume the sugar had a worst behavior in terms that they played roughly and never paid attention in class during teaching(calvo,2).it is confusing in terms that a child should have been doing well in term that they are being reward but it is a …show more content…
With a party or a social even there is a desk with the display of candies, soda, cookie and even ice-cream and that what most of the children put their mind to. There can’t be a parties or any fun event with any of this thing know as sweet because it makes children happy and something likes that could bring a child to a playground. It very sad how this has to be the reason for children to be interested in a party or any social event with sweets. People wouldn’t have the idea that the more the sweet the more it cause people to be unsociable, but in doing an experiment at the Virginia penal institution, there was an experiment done by Dr. Stephen j. schoenthaler, the prison director agreed to get rid of refined sugar from the supplied given some random inmate. During the experiment the result of unwanted behavior decreased by forty-eight present among the inmate who were fed without sugar in their food.
