In high school and in college students tend to cheat because they feel that cheating is the only way to pass a class. Students feel the need to cheat because they are stressed out from the work the teachers are assigning them or they are going through personal problems at home. Cheating on tests and also homework assignments is a persistent problem with many high school and also college students.

Peer pressure is also a factor in why students are cheating on their work. That means, every night most of the students have at least 10 homework assignments. Students are encourage to participate in extracurricular activities when they get out of school. Most teenagers do an after school activity such as band, football practice, softball practice or they have to memorize a script for a play that the drama club organized so they often do not have time to do most of their work at home so the easiest way to do the assignment is to copy down their friends work.

Cheating on tests and homework is a serious problem that is happening in the educational world. Dossar Al in the article, “Why Do College Students Cheat? A Structural Equation Modeling Validation of the Theory of Planned Behavior” suggests that students who were caught cheating in high school were more likely to be caught cheating in college. There are also many reasons on how to prevent the students from cheating. Cheating on tests and also homework assignments is a persistent problem with many high school and also college students. In this paper several cheating situations have been discussed, teachers should be more organized and figure out ways to manage their time more effectively. The emphasis should be learning in class rather than assigning kids homework for kids to figure it out on their own. When kids have to figure it out on their own, they are more prone to cheat. The problem is not 100% on the student or the teacher but the solution will need to be a joint
