Memories Of Early Childhood Education

Educationalists in training, such as myself, have many different concepts and ideas to focus on and plan for in the future. How would we go about handling a classroom and its students, while satisfying the curriculum and our responsibilities as educators? Good, experienced teachers have the ability to skillfully teach their content area, as well as the ability to relate and communicate with their students. A great way for educators to learn more about their students, and vice versa, and the best way for students to learn about one another, is during the course of different school environments, such as clubs, sports, and other extracurricular academic activities. Afterwards, I would often feel weirdly detached and withdrawn from life itself; although, it was not all bad, I did manage to have one good friend at school. After a while, school became somewhat of a job; doing the minimum, just enough to get by, while satisfying the teacher’s requirements, and then simply moving on to whatever came next. In school, time is crucial towards the students’ ability to grow, as they learn. While in school, I managed to develop closer friendships, not with students, but with the teachers who stayed after school to grade papers and assignments, and even with those who had free time on their hands to run and participate in various activities. Like most people, I feel strongly about having a balance between school and extracurriculars because it has been proven time and time again that when the two come together, there is a significant improvement in grades; as well as their social lives. After school programs encourage students of various diversities and social rankings within the school to come together as one; thus, making it easier to form strong friendships, while improving the experiences students come across in school. After school programs and extracurriculars break down the barriers; thus, making it easier for different students who hardly ever speak to one another, to come together to accomplish a common goal. For most students, meeting so many others, for whom they know very little to nothing about, would have been quite helpful. After school involvement with the student body at an early age is beneficial and seeing as how after time, it soon becomes more of a dependable habit, and less of a frivolous
