Student learning is the Key to Success Education paves the way for a good career. The school years are the grounding years of one 's education. Schools are institutions that lay the foundation of a child 's development. They play a key role in building character and developing children into responsible citizens and good human beings. Once completing school, one is all set to soar high in life, and enter the real world in pursuit of their dreams. The impacts of student learning varies in all households and is heavily influenced by their home life and parental involvement, technology usage and socioeconomic status. Influences in a student learner’s life helps ensure their continued learning and growth in an educational environment. …show more content…
Students are more engaged and more motivated to learn skills on a computer because it applies to their life outside of school. Technology is beneficial to both the students and teachers. Having the hands-on approach allows a student to learn at their own pace and retain what they have learnt. For example, if a student is doing an interactive math assignment on the computer which they mastered, they will be able to move on rather than wait for all the other students to complete the same assignment. This approach allows the teacher to personalize a student’s education based on their own level of learning style. Technology can be used to boost confidence in a student learner as well. Students who may be shy or lack confidence may be more willing to participate with the use of technology. They can post their thoughts or ideas in an online discussion so others may see or ask questions they are unsure of while at the same time the student learner is building his or her confidence level. Utilizing the internet presents several learning opportunities. Students can access information across the world instantly. The internet is a good online research resource to assist with essays, research papers or presentations. The use of technology provides the student with life-long learning skills and prepares them for workforce in the
