Have you read a story that had a perfect structure in it? Have you ever read a story that had a really good message in it? Do you ever wonder about the speeches that are being said? In the story Beowulf there is so much more than just a hero trying to save a kingdom. This story represents the writer, and how he was able to bring this story alive with the structure, of his work. There are many stories that could be written about, but this one is a very extravagant story. The way Beowulf fights all three monsters, and the way he does it, is incredible. In the first part of the story they start out with a speech, as Beowulf talks to the king, and asks if he could go fight Grendel, the first monster. He says to the king I want to fight him with no weapons. The story also has the big fight with Grendel, the monster because he was trying to kill some of the soldiers in the hall. The second part is the battle, and it means to show that there will always be a war in the world. The story is set up to show that you can do things if you really set your mind to it. The fighting in Beowulf is showing people that there is a war, and you have to step up when it comes time to fight. In the ending they celebrate, the death of Grendel, and try to show you in the end that things can change if you fight for …show more content…
In the structure of the story, that’s all it was saying don’t be afraid of what’s coming next in life. The story was written with a different technique, it wasn’t about love or finding yourself. The story was about that you already found yourself, and were ready to take on the world, with the strength that you have. Beowulf was a strong man, and he knew it but he wasn’t the type to run and hide. He was the type of man to fight for the people that mattered to him. He was forced in a way to fight against Grendel, because his people knew he could do it. In all honesty we all know that we have it in ourselves to fight for what we want.
