The one thing that I notice with the tasks is that students are highly engage on them. These tasks are done in pairs or groups and I can see that low status students will pair up with other low status students and the same will happen with the high status students pairing up with another high status. The mathematical tasks are used to enhance the material that was taught as a whole class, but when I walk around and listen/see students working I cannot tell which one is low of high status because everyone seems to get the material and work that they need to be doing, but since they pair up with other student that perceive themselves the same way then they have no issues working
