Socials skills are very important to have in all types of situations, attending school, going to work, or even going to church. They are important because it allows people to communicate more effectively. Social skills will help you meet very interesting people, get the job you want, progress further in your career and relationship. There are several examples of social skills such as listening skills, staying calm, showing interest towards others, knowing how to rapport, and giving others great eye contact. It is also important to watch your body language when talking to others because you may be saying something with your body that you really aren’t trying to say. It is important to have good listening skills because you may miss some very important information, or you may make the person feel like you are not interested in what he or she is saying about the subject. Staying Calm is an important social skill because you may make another person feel uncomfortable and nervous as well. A person can show interest by asking questions effectively about the desired subject.
