Opinion Essay
There is a lot of debate about whether or not Social Networking is good for or bad for society. There are plenty of good points for both sides but I think it has more benefits than it does not.
There are so many different ways that any person can use any type of social network. It is a part of our future, it is going to become even more apart of our lives so I do not understand why people do not just look at the good side of it, instead of making it be a negative thing.
Social networking is for the better for our generation and our future generations. It helps us in so many different ways that no one could have ever thought possible about a decade ago.

Being a senior in High School that is very important to me. They feel that it is an easier way to reach students. 96.6% of four-year institutions use Facebook to recruit students. I was not aware that there are that many places that use Social Networking sites, let alone Facebook to recruit students. Over 68% of students use Social Media to search for internships. If your child was looking for a college you would want them to be able to use every resource that they had available to them.
Like I said before that there are several reasons as to why Social Networking is good and not bad, but I only chose to talk about 3 because they are the most important to me.

The next time that you are texting someone think about how you know that person, how close you guys are and ask yourself if things would be that way if we did not have Social Networking.
As I had said earlier Social Networking sites allow people to improve their relationships and make new friends. Colleges and Universities use Social Media to recruit and to retain students. Social Networking sites also help people who are socially isolated or shy connect with other people.
In order to accept that Social Networking is good and that it is our future the older generations need to get involved in Social Networking sites, to understand what it can help us
