Sleep is extremely important in a person’s life and it weighs heavily on how one feels throughout the day. Sleep is simple, yet so complex, and it happens to take up about one third of a person’s life. If a person sleeps for an average of 8 hours a night and lives to be 75 years old, then they would sleep for about 25 years of their lifetime. How well you feel when you wake up and how much energy you have throughout each day depends greatly on how well you are sleeping every night. Many different things, such as, lifestyle choices, bedtime routines, and day-to-day sleep schedules affect the quality of sleep a person gets every night. The brain has to be in a relaxed state of mind for a person to fall asleep, and it is proven that a peaceful bedtime routine can help the brain start to relax.
