Reflection On My Signature Themes

Improved Essays
In the process of reading and doing assignments on my Signature Themes, I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about myself and how I should be handling everyday life. Signature Themes are traits that an individual has that tells a lot about their personalities and morals. After taking a short personality assessment, the results are given to you by judging your values and how you tend to do things such as interact with people or what you enjoy doing for fun. These Signature Themes are to help one understand their strengths and weaknesses, and how to properly maximize themselves. My Signature Themes were Consistency, Deliberative, Discipline, Intellection, and Learner. People who have the Consistency Signature Theme need to have set rules …show more content…
Personally, I think that Deliberative is what describes me the best. I enjoy planning my weeks out and knowing exactly what to expect from the upcoming days. I also need to have plans made beforehand, as I do not enjoy spontaneity. Consequently, I do not like when my plans are changed or canceled on short notice because it disrupts the efficiency of my day. However, I think that the Signature Theme I use most frequently would be Consistency, because I hold my morals and values very high in my priorities. I tend to lay out certain guidelines that the people I am close to should follow in order to meet my values. I also tend to ask myself whether the situations I am involved with are up to my ethical standards. Nevertheless, I believe that the Signature Theme that my talents are most refined in is Deliberative. I can easily plan my days and have all my responsibilities laid out in a comprehensive manner. It is also easy for me to keep a space organized and tidy, which helps me focus on the task at hand, rather than what I need to do next. The talents I would like to maximize most during my college education is Discipline, I think this would be the most beneficial to hone in on during school. Focusing on Discipline would allow me to have a structured study plan and force myself to finish the task at hand, rather than touch …show more content…
Some of the things I got to learn was how Discipline and Deliberative talents will help me ultimately reach my goals in life, by allowing me to plan and maximize my time and energy. Also, that my weakest trait is Intellection, because I do not take the time out of my day to allow myself to think everything through and I should. I believe that Intellection will help me gain clarity in my life that I do not currently have. It may be hard to gain this clarity because most people do not tend to give themselves the time to focus on thinking everything through and it may be difficult for me to make time in my schedule to reflect. The most insightful information that I learned while studying my Signature Themes was that I need a lot of structure in my life, although I did have some prior knowledge of this, reading about my traits allowed me to further understand this aspect. Structure is involved in Consistency, Deliberative, and Discipline themes and therefore I should focus on the most effective ways to plan my days. I immensely enjoyed learning these things about myself and am glad I got the opportunity to realize my goals and
