We can support children and young people by encouraging them to take part in activities such as team games. Setup group activities like camping trips where children work as teams and help one another, this will promote wellbeing and help the children feel good about themselves. Encourage parents to get the children to join other clubs where they meet new people and make friends, interaction can lead to self-confidence.
Offer appropriate praise i.e. 'that is a lovely painting, well done!' this will make them feel good about themselves and their abilities. Even if the child does not catch the ball it’s important that you still praise them for having a go. Do not give children tasks that our outside of their ability range where they are set
