This is due to the ability to empathize, knowing what CNA’s have going through, having been there themselves at one point. They have the ability to inspire through the compassion and empathy of having once been in the same shoes. The ability to lead with authority is the ability to lead by example.
Love
Often thought of as an emotion, but as described by Hunter (2012) love is a verb; love is the actions and behaviors towards others. In order to be a leader, more specifically a “servant leader”, it is important to treat others with love the verb. This verb encompasses the actions and behaviors such as acting with kindness, having humility, commitment to peers and subordinates, and the act of being self-less (Hunter, 2012).
