To the point where it makes her ill. All she wants is to be the best of the best in all that she does, and she quickly finds out that it is impossible. Sophomore year brings a timid girl that has not been seen before. She hides behind the hands of EJ and is confused by love. Junior year brings back her outgoing personality and even sparks a new relationship. Her senior year ultimately brings out her perfectionist personality but on a much smaller scale. Assignments accumulate on the stiff, oak desk in her cramped dorm room. In a matter of weeks, she is already immensely overwhelmed. She speaks to her mom, best friend, and boyfriend. Between the financial responsibility and excruciating distance between her and the one she loves, a transfer to another university is already contemplated. Homecoming approaches, which means extended cheer practices and enticing social events. Exams begin over the topics learned. Nights have less sleep than ever before, and it begins to show. Everyone has stress, she is no different. She keeps her head high because she remembers it’s just college. Not everything HAS to be perfect.
