In the United States, every kid has to have some type of schooling. This is great because this educates our youth to become functioning members of society; but, there comes a point in one’s life where school becomes a burden. School begins to stress people out and make their life harder. One may ask, “If this is the case, why continue?” The answer is simple, the stress of school is very short-term in the scope of one’s life. The benefits of attending school or college heavily outweigh the downfalls of it, therefore, getting an education heavily increases the quality of one’s life. Everyone experiences this feeling, and school is a big cause of it. This feeling is stress. Stress can downgrade one’s quality of life and ruin their day or even week. School is a very big cause of stress because of the assignments and homework one must complete. If a kid doesn’t do good on these assignments either, then the kid gets a bad grade. Bad grades make one look inferior to other people. On top of how stressful school can be, it is also very time consuming. It adds unwanted stress to their lives and often takes up a large amount of their free time. Although school causes these negative effects, the benefits of it heavily outweigh the flaws. School only gets hard and overwhelming once high school starts through one’s college years. This can be anywhere from four to twelve years. This may seem like a long time, but these four to twelve years can bring sixty plus years of happiness and satisfaction.
