Within the mall, we had to determine a gender neutral store. So the location that we picked was Aeropostale. The observation was conducted at 1800 on a Thursday, this way most college classes are completed by then, and high school sessions are also over. As observers there happened to be a sitting area right across from Aeropostale, so we all to a couch or chair separated from each other and began to collect the data that we needed. There were very little restrictions placed on eligible subjects, the only one was not going over 15 minutes for one single person. The outcomes were rather good considering the store we decided to pick. The only thing differently that would have caused for better results would be actually splitting up the stores. For example, doing the study on a primarily female store and doing a primarily male store. This way a true determination of the actual time people spends in a store could be calculated. It is more likely a male is going to spend more time in Footlocker or Champions then a place like Aeropostale or another neutral gender store. They conducted themselves in a professional manner and did not make it seem like they were observing the individuals. The only thing bad about the group was communication. When it came to putting together our individual research and writing the paper, both group members wait till the last minute to compile their data. Being busy with ROTC and traveling to Flight 93 Memorial, Fort Knox, and Detroit has caused for a lot of conflict. I did my part of the project last week and was waiting for my fellow group members to send me their work. I will take responsibility here though, because I assume everyone does work as soon as possible and not wait till the last minute. This was the only problem I had with the group
