The Importance Of Safety Violation Log

Decent Essays
I emailed my superintendent a copy of the new updated receiving report. I emailed our drywall subcontractor a copy of our schedule for the next three weeks.

I updated the safety violation log after I found one of the workers standing on the top step of the ladder. If we observe any of the workers operating in an unsafe manner we take their picture and fill out a form stating what unsafe act was committed. The purpose of the safety violation log is to document all violations. Each safety violation is signed and approved by the person who wrote the form.

I used my note taking skills to record the meeting minutes from our weekly subcontractor meeting. I counted how many stair treads we have on each set of stairs going up to our mezzanine.

The claimant did not specify the name of the car dealership where the injured occurred, but did state that he injured his spine and the discs in the middle of his back (Ms. Espinoza stated that our office needed to interview Mr. Navarrete in regards to the allegations made by the claimant). Ms. Espinoza stated that the claimant completed a safety training, which was presented to him on his DOH. She provided training documentation showing that the claimant’s initial training consisted of information and knowledge of occupational hazards in the workplace, illness and injury prevention plan for working in a safe working environment, to wear all personnel protective equipment required for the claimant, and reporting all injuries immediately to supervisors or through HR (See Attachment #12 for Safety unclear…

OSHA has the legal authority to inspect the workplace and procedures to ensure it meets standards. It usually does not provide notice for inspections but may provide up to 24 hours’ notice in limited cases, such as the need for the presence of certain personnel. The compliance officer informs the employer of any violations during the closing conference of the inspection then submits a compliance report to the agency's area director. The agency can take legal action if an employer refuses to admit an OSHA compliance officer. When conditions in the workplace do not meet OSHA standards, the area director issues a citation for each violation as documented by the compliance officer.…

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was created by Congress under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to ensure workers were provided with safe and healthy working conditions. Congress found that personal injuries and illnesses were more frequent in work related situations, which caused a loss in production, a decrease in wages, elevated medical expenses, and substantial disability compensation payments. In order to prevent personal injuries or illnesses in the work place, standards were established under the Act, which were taught to employers and employees through trainings and outreach. These standards provided workplace health and safety regulations to limit/prevent an employee’s exposure to possible hazardous situations/environments. In particular, Part 1910 covers Occupational Safety and Health Standards, which can range from hand protection to requirements for fixed ladders.…

As I have progressed through my high school years, I have been extremely fortunate to have been exposed to and to have experienced multiple leadership roles within the organizations at my school. With that said, I have discovered that possessing a leadership position is more than just a role, but the qualities that support it. One recent event occurred when this year's cheerleading sponsor anointed the honor of directing this year's Senior Pep Rally to the Senior class Officers. Under normal circumstances, we would have accepted and executed the plan with ease, but, considering the short notice was two weeks prior to the actual date and not a single Senior knew about it, we were forced to take immediate action. Unfortunately, due to…
