Sacrifice Is Important To Me Essay

According to American businessman Dave Ramsey, “The most important decision about your goals is not what you are willing to do to achieve them, but what you are willing to give up”. When I think of the word “sacrifice”, the first thing that usually comes up in my head are people slaughtering animals as an offering to a divine or supernatural figure. However, when we talk about sacrifice in today’s society, it means giving up(something important or valued) for the sake of other considerations. I have had to make a lot of changes to how I spend my time in order to work on homework this year. I spend a lot less time with friends and family now. I’m trying to work much harder at school this year and next year so that I could possibly earn a scholarship for university. As a grade 11 student in 2017, I will tell you one thing: sacrifices are a must when it comes to achieving your goals. Let me tell you my story.
