God values honesty, as well as most people in the world, because it expresses humility and faithfulness. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of liars in the world, which makes trust hard for some people. Partners in a serious, romantic relationship should trust one another because trust shows that both parties have confidence that each of them make wise decisions. Love is built upon trust, so when couples do not trust one another they do not always see eye to eye. A lack of trust makes couples anxious because they do not have confidence in what their partner does. Many couples that struggle with trusting one another have a fear of infidelity. There is usually something that put the fear of being cheated on in a partner’s mind, such as a history of cheating or signs that show interest in other people, but a lot of the time there is no reason for this fear, there is just a lack of trust. A relationship centered around paranoia is not healthy because it makes one partner feel like the other thinks they’re a bad person. A relationship without trust should not exist because there are barriers one breaks in a new relationship, which lead them to a serious relationship. If a couple cannot get past the trust barrier, they are not serious enough for a romantic relationship. Each partner must have a reassurance that his or her partner does not have romantic feelings or thoughts toward anyone else and they must have a solid foundation of honesty and trust if they have serious intentions for their
