Christianity, Hinduism, Catholicism, Islam, and Buddhism are all examples of the religions that exist in today’s society. However, is religion really necessary in today’s society? Over time human beings have made huge advancements in science and technology, like the theory of evolution, and medicine. Nevertheless eighty-five percent of the human race has a religion they believe in. Religion helps regulate human behavior, such as knowing right from wrong, it also gives individuals a sense of security, to know that they’re safe from certain things that could potentially harm them. Additionally, religion gives people peace, practices like meditation, help people cope with stress and problems in their daily life. There are many ways people can view religion, either as a benefit or a disadvantage.
