Religiousness and spirituality impacts well-being tremendously and is very important when trying to maintain a mindful life. There are consistent findings that result in when there is greater spirituality, there is better mental health and higher subjective well-being. Likewise, there are several reasons why obtaining religious perspectives benefit mental and physical health; and here are the following reasons. First, religion provides social support. Social support is one of the highest predictors of subjective well-being. The reason why, is because there are religious activities that involve a lot of participation within a community. I first want to include the several different acts of praying. Each act of prayer is unique and contains beneficial realistic qualities for most situations. Adoration is an act of prayer that focuses on worshiping God without any mention of my current situation, needs, or desires. I will use this act to simply show that I worship him at all times. The prayer of thanksgiving is expressed through gratitude to God and I will reference this act through positive life experiences, which promotes positive emotions. Petitionary prayers are requests for godly intervention in particular life events regarding myself or others. This specific prayer can help me overcome difficult challenges with myself or loved ones. Prayers of confession include my admission of negative conduct and call for God’s mercy and forgiveness. This particular prayer will become significant to me during the times I make poor choices and mistakes. I want to not only practice the several different kinds of prayers, but I also want to practice the different ways that the act of praying can be expressed. Praying through a formalistic act will cause me to read out loud or without a sound from a prayer book.
