This year, the number of migrants and refugees arriving in Europe by sea has reached a new height of 522,124; in which “388,000 arrived in Greece and 130,891 in Italy.” The majority of the people come from countries such as Syria, Eritrea, Somalia, and Sudan in order to escape war and poverty. Unfortunately, nearly 3,000 migrants have drowned or gone missing in 2015 while attempting to cross the deadly route along the central Mediterranean, along with the route which passes the Aegean Sea. The United Nation is currently putting in great effort to support the people who have been forced to escape from their own countries with food and shelter.
