1. Due to the lack of rain in the West, other states are beginning to suffer from the lack of precipitation. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2016/08/nevada-drought/
2. Even though California has been the most publicized state for having the largest lack of water; however, Nevada is actually the driest state to date. Residents have had to tap into aquifers just to survive on a daily basis. The Native American population and the government has funded a program called Native Waters on Arid Lands where Native Americans are taught how to conserve water and to farm sustainably.

3. On the east coast and in the midwest we never have the think about where out water comes from because we have an abundance of it. It's important for us to realize
