Coben says that putting spyware is a good idea to keep your children from dangerous chatters. I disagree with Coben but at the same time I agree with him. Parents shouldn’t put spyware on their kid’s computers.
I believe putting spyware on your kid’s computer is a good idea to keep them from going on web sites they're not supposed to. Also to keep them safe from people out there that go looking for kid’s to rape them or kill them. And to keep them away from friends that want them to use drugs.

If he or she is telling you the truth about who they talk to and where they go and what they are doing. But at the same time why not just get a family computer and put it in the living room. And only you have the password to it. Also you can set the rules on them and if they don’t follow them they won’t use the computer.
