Growing up I never pictured myself pursuing any other career besides nursing. Many women in my family have worked in the nursing field. I would often sit all day and listen to their stories about the touching and inspiring moments that happened to them daily, as well as the heartbreaking experiences they had. This real human connection is what made me curious about nursing as a profession. It is my goal to be able to use my calm demeanor, pleasant disposition, and desire to help others to comfort and aid people in the healing process. Attending nursing school will provide me with the skills and knowledge I need to make this dream a reality.

At a young I was taught the importance of a strong work ethic, and I want nothing more than to offer excellent care to those in need. I see nurses not just as care givers, but also as role models for their patients and for the community. As a nurse I will continue in my efforts to consistently seek opportunities to become better at my job through professional development courses. A nurse is a caring, passionate individual with a desire to help each and every person whom they encounter. I want to be a nurse to do something worthwhile with my career. I want to utilize all of the best parts of my character. I want the challenges that come with the job, always learning and developing better methods of care.
