The importance of psychological treatment and art/music therapy to patients with Cancer. Art is defined as “The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”
Art therapy consists of treatments that encourage free expression and catharsis using methods such as art and music analysis, painting, sculpting, and composing, among many others.

We are attracted to pleasures that come from human action. Every composer and artist is different and we tend to understand them better when we see their work. Those pieces are reflections of themselves. They use canvases and measures to tell us a story, about their lives, relationships and experiences. So why not have people in difficult situation use these methods as a way to express themselves? And on the way remind them that they are not a disease, but first they are people capable of creating immeasurable beauty.
Even before the first studies of psychology, artists and musicians alike were composing and creating pieces that would evoke emotion. By using Light colors you can evoke happiness. By using dissonant notes and minor scales you can project sadness, confusion, and somber emotions.
