Professional Image

The understanding is that appearance is very important in attaining a job. This is based on the idea that your professional image and either ruin or successfully give you positive results. Majority professionals believe that having professional image such as the attire and appearance is very important, as it is even pointed out within the survey conducted within the University of California Los Angeles (Johanson 1999:45). The results of the survey was that 61 percent the professional image is very important and that 34 percent the professional image is moderately important, meaning that 95 percent of people think that it is important (Johanson 1999:45). The personality has a strong aspects to a successful interview as if you are outgoing and very extrovert you are able to express yourself and enhance your image with ease rather than struggling with it (Zedeck 2006:452). Lastly research in the media and appearance is being discussed within South Korea greatly, as there are significant increase in the number of people that are willing to get plastic surgery to portray the image that are conceived from various form of media. Generalizing the concept of plastic surgery and making it a common practice (Holliday 2012:61). The understanding is that although in certain countries there are many people that believe in changing their physical appearance through the plastic surgery is essential in finding a job, but the generalized understanding is that looking professional and determining the characteristic that company want is more important. Just as well having the right attitude and confidence level is very important in being able to get a job as that increases the chances of getting a job.
