Don’t always wonder what other people are going to think about you, or what you’re wearing. In the end, we all have to be ourselves living our own life. If someone has a problem with other people’s appearances, it’s their problem and nobody else’s. The life that we have now is the only one we are going to get, so don’t be worried about other people just worry about our goals in life. In “The Scarlet Ibis” it says, “It was bad enough having an invalid brother, but having one who was not all there was unbearable, so I began to make plans to kill him by smothering him with a pillow.” The narrator was too busy thinking about what people would think of their family if they knew they had a son that was invalid and one that wasn’t all there. He should have been focusing on the positives, and what he could do to help the family or Doodle with his condition, Instead of just erasing the problem by killing his little brother that didn’t have a chance to begin
