Why Do People Have Pride In Their Work

When society has accomplishments they should have pride in their work without any negative comments. If someone has accomplished something that they were proud of, they should be able to show it without being judged or hated. We have free speech therefore, everyone can have pride in their work and what they do. If someone lives a lifestyle where they go off of what people say about them, they will not get anywhere in life. Society has to learn how to do things on their own without letting other people’s judgement get in the way. We all have different opinions and beliefs, so it shouldn't matter what other people think or say. If people want to show pride because of something they are proud of, they can. The one thing that could tear society apart is our mindset. Some people believe that having pride in their work is showing off, but it is not. It’s a way of showing confidence and self-worth. Don’t always wonder what other people are going to think about you, or what you’re wearing. In the end, we all have to be ourselves living our own life. If someone has a problem with other people’s appearances, it’s their problem and nobody else’s. The life that we have now is the only one we are going to get, so don’t be worried about other people just worry about our goals in life. In “The Scarlet Ibis” it says, “It was bad enough having an invalid brother, but having one who was not all there was unbearable, so I began to make plans to kill him by smothering him with a pillow.” The narrator was too busy thinking about what people would think of their family if they knew they had a son that was invalid and one that wasn’t all there. He should have been focusing on the positives, and what he could do to help the family or Doodle with his condition, Instead of just erasing the problem by killing his little brother that didn’t have a chance to begin
