Last year of high school, seniors are focused on football games and prom, who 's dating who, and what their summer plans are with their “squad”. A senior in high school does not stress over their responsibilities as a student, completing homework to their full potential, or working as many shifts as possible to pay from education. In my opinion, education is not preparation for life, it’s truly life itself and it’s bound to take you beyond wonders. One must not let their past drag them down, but lift them up to aim for greater heights. My educational goal is to major in Architecture. I plan on being a part of the FIU Connect-4-Success program, which is a program that allows you to attend an FIU partner college in order to complete prerequisite courses and a guaranteed admission to FIU once you finish. I plan to attend Palm Beach State College for two years in order to receive my AA degree. Then, I will transfer to FIU’s Department of Interior Architecture Modesto A. Maidique campus to further my studies. In transitioning to and completing college, the most significant challenge that I expect to face is time management. My college prep coordinator taught us the phrase “Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.” With all the demands, activities, opportunities and more provided from Universities, managing all of those responsibilities might be a challenge for me. But I am well aware that my school work is the most fundamental of…

While I think about the future a lot, my plans for the future change all the time. When I was a kid, I thought being a young mom would be something I could do. As the time is here, I know that I am not ready for that task, and hope that it stays that way, for at least, another eight years. Playing high school sports is more than what I saw as a kid. It is not just about staying in a hotel room and getting ready with friends, it is about playing a sport that you fell in love with as a kid and creating a bond with friends in and out of the sport. With graduation coming up, it feels like an accomplishment, but at the same time it is stressful. There is so many more decisions I have to make, in order to grow up. I still have to choose a college where I want to further my education, and choose a nursing path that I want to take. Although I have grown up a ton, there 's so many more things I want to do before I grow up. A lot of my time spent thinking about my future is what I want to do or who I want to be when I am…
